The aim of this project is to improve the image of the teaching profession and increasing the number of apprentices and skilled workers. Additionally, this project makes the transition from training to work easier by adapting vocational training to the actual market requirements. The project develops innovative approaches for certain occupations, with a focus on the welding profession.

Project goals:

  • Make the apprenticeship training for welders more attractive and practical
  • Fight the shortage of skilled workers in the Austrian-Slovenian border region
  • Train mentors in companies practically and pedagogically
  • Set up pilot classes in Austria and Slovenia

Skilled workers and their technical vocational education and training are key success factors in our economies. Integrating e-learning and other digital education tools enriches & updates the available curricula and makes the training more attractive to young people. That‘s the objective we want to reach with our participation in this project.
